no rhyme of reason when you're dealing with wet connections... anything is possible

I would try the dehumidifier as mentioned earlier.. then disconnect any harnesses to the TWICE unit, and other key harnesses (i.e. CPS, etc.).. and try to dry them out before trying to start the car again.. Then hit them with some electric contact cleaner before reconnecting (e.g. CRC Electronic cleaner, etc.)
