Removing MAF to replace Xenon headlight bulb Posted by NCCaniac [Email] [Profile/Gallery]

In an earlier post, I received some good tips on removing the MAF for the first time in my 2008 9-5 Sportcombi to get access to replace the passenger side Xenon headlight bulb. I was able to get the MAF out with some careful work and then have access to the headlight socket area. I was able to remove the old failed bulb, but the hose/duct that connects to the fender side of the MAF and then goes down toward the fender really hindered my ability to get my hand positioned to get the new bulb in and locked down with the small locking tabs. (Sigh, I wish these bulbs were as easy to access as the halogen bulbs in my 2000 9-3).
I may try and remove the MAF again and make sure the new bulb is well locked in place, but when I do, is there a trick to get more working room for your hand? I could not really tell if that other hose/duct heading toward the fender was easily removable. If it is, that would really help.
