That was one of the options and the brakes should be similar on your 9-3.. I’ve had second thoughts about rebuilding them myself. One Saab vendor has the rebuild kit with new pistons and grease, etc. There is a fellow in the UK who has a video on YouTube about rebuilding them on the car. It’s a different brand car but the very same ATE brakes. It looks like something I can do, and in case of problems then rebuilt calipers are the backup plan. Once I found a rebuild kit with pistons, I thought about the rebuild. Many Saab vendors do not sell the kits. This kit is made in Spain.
