Small temporary drips can occur at the bypass valve and sometimes cure themselves at least temporarily as the valve moves internally. Eventually that leak will become more persistent and evident with drips and puddles (even if some hits the exhaust as Fred suggests).
In addition, small cracks or gaps in seals can weep when cool/cooling and seal when hot (and material expands) also masking the issue.
