Sounds reasonable. The transmission oil and coolant could mix outside of the lines if they trickle down the same surfaces. One of mine is leaking a small amount of coolant that seems oily but is still reddish orange. It's not dripping in the normal spot for a water pump failure but not far off (a trickle drip off the oil pan). So far it is quite slow. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the o-ring at the block, but I'm also waiting for warmer weather as it has been fairly cold up here this winter, at least to work on cars haha. Fortunately we have a herd of SAABs so we aren't too reliant on that one.
