camshaft/cylinder plug , crankcase pressure question Posted by mlc [Email] [Profile/Gallery]

The cylinder head cap/plug fell out, during my drive home... with oil all over the place.... I tried a makeshift fix, using a dorman rubber expansion plug until i received delivery of a replacement cap/plug... The dorman wasn't a great fit, and i have to shave/modify it... Upon a test drive, after 20 min or so.. i stopped to inspect , and noticed oil starting to leak and the plug had pushed out ever so slightly.... My concern is if there is excessive crankcase pressure causing the issue? I did the 'glove' test, and the glove did not expand , in fact it sucked in slightly.... Should i be concerned about crankcase pressure.... or just tap the new plug in, when the part arrives?
