I am still hooked. Riding is an addiction that his impossible to shake. There is nothing more satisfying than an early Sunday morning ride through the country.
Motorcycling is obviously dangerous, but reducing risks by wearing the proper clothing and protection, and acting as if the Good Lord gave you at least half of a brain goes a long way in keeping you alive and well. The only time that I ever threatened myself was when I was younger (19, I believe), and thought I was invincible. I'm a firm believer that motorcycle safety is achievable; pick the correct places & times to ride, act like a gentlman, and watch out for the idiots. Obviously, it will never be as safe as traveling in a vehicle, but increasing the odds of survival is easy. Maybe I'm jaded, but remember, I'm just an addict. :-)
Cheers,
Brian.
