According to Valeo, manufacturer of the 9-5 Xenon, 2500 hours, vs. 500 hours for conventional halogen bulbs ... ***AND*** the life expectancy of halogens is very sensitive to the voltage supplied ... a little "hotter" alternator setting, or better wiring, and the halogen bulb life is seriously shortened. Xenon lights are carbon-electric discharge, controlled by a seriously expensive looking ballast module, so I'd expect the life to be less random.

Nonetheless, I've pulled the DRL fuse. I may use them in the gloom of winter ... after all, nothing shortens Xenon bulb life as much as t-boning an SUV.
