If you click the link below, you'll find that Mobil 1 0W-40 meets Greg's specs: it exceeds ACEA A3/B3/B4-02 and is NOT an ILSAC GF-3 oil.
Other ACEA A3-spec (dunno about ILSAC) oils I've seen which are probably OK in your SAAB:
BMW-label Castrol synthetic 5W-30
Kendall GT-1 Full Synthetic 5W-40
Quaker State Full Synthetic European Formulation 5W-40
As for AMSOIL, I believe these meet or exceed ACEA A3-spec:
ASL 5W-30
HDD 5W-30 Series 2000 Heavy Duty Diesel
TSO 0W-30 Series 2000
ATM 10W-30
Maybe Dick in Falls Church can fill us in on these oils, especially the Heavy Duty Diesel oil. It says on the Amsoil website that it's fine for gasoline engines, but Redline recommends against using Redline Diesel oil in gasoline cars due to increased chance of spark plug fouling.
