and they are a very good all season tire. But of course, I live in northern Virginia where it does not snow that much. I think if I lived where you live, I would follow other's advice and have separate snow and summer tires. I have heard nice things about the SP9000 and would probably get them. As far as snows, I'm still researching but Gislaveds, Nokian Hakkas, Michelin Alpins are on the list. Good luck.
