Hey,
I have a 2000 9-5 Base Sedan w/ 5-speed manual with 4500 miles. I feel that it's getting more difficult to shift the car smoothly from 1st to 2nd gear, especially when I'm really trying to move. When I release the clutch, the car literally pauses for a second before launching, especially if I release too quickly. It seems like I get better performance by slipping the clutch a little in between the two gears waiting (too long) for the boost to gather, then completely releasing. Overall the car feels a little more sluggish. I'm not sure if it's the driver or the car! I was recently in for service, and given a '00 Base wagon with the automatic as a loaner. That car might have hustled a little better overall. What was most concerning to me was that the engine seemed better isolated, and revved a little quicker than my manual car. Has anyone else experienced this, or should I have the car checked out? Thanks for your help!
-Todd
