I have experienced a similar sound when a leaf has gotten into the duct work. This has happened several times. The first time the dealer told me what was causing it. It goes away after the leaf is ground up or forced out. It sounds as bad as a wind tunnel at times. It just happened again yesterday and disappeared the same day. I hope this is your problem. You can vary the sound if you change the duct distribution configuration. It actually can be diminished when it is at its worst but it still remains.
