I wonder if different folks have different tolerance levels for the rough idle, depends what you are used to. I've been driving 6 and 8 cyl. cars and perhaps have become used to their lower levels of vibration.
I'm beginning to suspect the turbo may be reluctant to spin up initially or the transmission is faulty, because the lag is pretty bad. I'm going to try another LPT to see if it is different. Once moving, the lag is minimal and the car goes with the usual Saab effortlessness. My V6 has no discerenable lag and will actually spin the wheels on a full throttle take off. I doubt this 4 would spin the wheels on ice until the boost comes on, about 1 second, but it feels like 1 minute :>(. I would tend to disagree with salesman's statement that the V6 has more lag than the 4, it has: greater capacity, higher compression ratio and a smaller turbo, all traits that reduce lag and work well according to my experience.
