Not sure but I'm assuming it's larger than the K03 that's in my Passat. It feels stronger than my 1.8T motor and generally acts more like a classic turbo motor (maybe they just dial in more boost), but more telling is that the Saab has more turbo lag between shifts (manual); I think the Passat's turbo is small enough to recover such that you don't notice any lag in power after a shift. In the 95, I notice a hesitation in power after each upshift.
