Remove the (black plastic) covers on the two screws.
Remove the screws.
Loosen the light cluster at an angle and pull out the retaining clips.
Unplug the connector.
Press in clips and remove the plastic cover plate (body colored).
This is as per the MY2000 WIS.
Please note that you can easily scratch the paint on the top of the rear bumper during removal. Place a piece of duct tape or similar on the bumper along the bottom edge of the light to prevent damage. Been there - done that!
The drawing in the WIS shows the light assembly as being one piece. I think you have to replace the entire assembly (less the trim piece).
