Hi,
This stinky problem is not unique to Saab. We have experienced it in all the cars we have owned. And we have noticed it in numerous other cars on the road. Our Acura smells so bad on Mobil, that we just don't go there at all. But there is no smell using Shell. When we find a "good" station we stick with it, but if you travel a lot, that could be difficult. Also, if you are buying gas in an urban area, they are required to put an additive in it (can't remember off hand what it is) to reduce pollution. There was a thread here awhile ago where some people had other suggestions. Perhaps there is something else contributing to it in your case. Yes, it's frustrating to buy an expensive car that stinks, but it's not just Saabs!
Good Luck,
AeroLady
