I always say that when my wife is happy, I'm happy. She's been driving our 15 month old baby around in her '92 900 conv. for the past 15 months, always complaining about wanting a wagon. Luckily, we both are anti-SUV (except for true off-road use) so we've just been trying to come to grips with affording a new car. We were seriously looking at a Passat wagon since that was more in our price range. However, that price continued to creep up with all of the options that we wanted until it was at $31,500. Then I found out about the $4000 dealer incentive for the Linear wagon which would put it about $32,500 for what we wanted. However, I then realized that sales tax would put that figure up to $35,500. Ouch (for me at least).

But then I found a guy local that was selling a virtually new (70 miles!) '03 Aero wagon, silver, with auto (for wife), and touring package. He won it in a freaking contest and was wanting to unload it so that he could pay the taxes on it. So I was able to talk him down to $33,500 total, $2000 less at least than the Linear would have cost me!

I know that I'm rambling but I wanted to post to people that would appreciate it, since I don't have any local Saab friends, except for my wife. This car rocks! It's incredible. I want to sleep in it at night and drive it all day! I've never even bought a new car, of course it's for my wife, I'll just get to drive it on the weekends, and continue to drive my '86 900T (252k) during the week.
