I have my '00 9-5 in the shop currently fixing a number of things all under warrenty. FREE! I suggest asking the dealership print off a copy of the maintenance record. Any previous work done on the car at an authorized shop should show up on the report. Also visit http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ and check the TSB's for your car.

I also kept a notepad in the car for the first few weeks after I bought it to write down any items for them to fix so I wouldn't forget.

If you have kids, call Saab customer service for the free child seat anchors, the shop will install them free when you bring your car in.

Also the warranty is not just milage based but limited to 4 years, if you have a '99 model originally purchased in '98 it might have expired. The dealer can tell you that.
