I posted my message on Sunday afternoon, then left town for two days in Philadelphia. Let's just say I'm glad to be back in Bismarck...
I am very impressed with this board. There is very little of the harsh, silly stuff that I see on some other boards. I guess the quality of Saab owners matches the quality of the vehicle, or vice versa.
In response to one comment, the speed limit in ND is 70, though the legislature is presently considering raising it to 75. Montana imposed a 75 limit a few years ago, and so Montana is no longer a "reasonable and proper" speed state. It's sad, because it used to be fun to explore higher speeds on clear roads without worrying about radar traps.
Regarding break-in, the dealer said there were no specific requirements. I recall that the owner's manual says to keep the rpm's under 5,000 for the first 1000 miles, and to avoid full throttle acceleration during that time except for brief bursts. We had it up to 90-100 briefly on a couple of occasions on the way home, but kept it at 80 most of the way. What a great car!
John.
