No where near $900 here, not even half of that. Instructions were printed on "funny sized" paper, so perhaps it's the same hitch as Europe, OTOH it comes with an adapter from the Saab wiring harness to USA Standard Trailer connector, so it could be a unique North American part. As compared to the "aftermarket" hitches which are available in the US, the main difference is not the hitch itself, but the bumper brackets. This is for the Wagon, and the original bumper attachment is one bolt on each side. With the Saab hitch, a bracket is added to each bumper end to allow three bolts to attach the bumper to the body. The hitch attaches to the reinforced "boot floor", where the towing eye is fitted, and to the bumper beam.
