Thanks to everyone who responded. I appreciate the feedback.
As a footnote, we have been told by Saab USA customer service that the dealer was informed of the new special on April 2nd, before we signed on the dotted line, which makes their conduct/behavior all the more contemptable.
To those that compared this to buying a sport coat, then seeing it on sale weeks later....first, we are not talking weeks, we are talking less than a day. But, as many times as that has happened, there has been an equal number of times when a sales associate has advised to wait on a purchase because the item would soon be going on sale.
I now realize that I foolishly relied on the expert advice of the sales associate and the dealership and fell prey to their deceptive practices. Frankly, I can't imagine why they wouldn't have act in good faith. Including this car, I had purchased $75,000 worth of merchandise from them in the last 18 months and had every intention of leasing another car from them after the other lease expired. After all, if International Motors can't treat their loyal repeat customers right, who would they?
To the person who suggested that I should have done more homework.... exactly what resource should I have checked that would have told me of future Saab lease deals?
Again, thanks for the opportunity to vent. Drive safe.
