I just bought the SAAB cross bars and bike rack a couple of months ago, and I am very happy with the cross bars, they are the perfect fit for SAABs, and highly recommend them to all SAAB owners as they are specifically made for SAABs and even look good installed. Never looked at other brands, as the price is reasonable and the posts on this site convinced me to go with the SAAB rack. As far as the cross bars it is a square THULE design so any Thule attachment should work. Another alternative is to buy the SAAB cross bars, and the the bike rack which requires you to remove the front tire.
If you can return the YAKIMA you should look into and go to the local SAAB dealer and take a look at the SAAB cross bars, you can't go wrong.
