I have had many SAAB's over the years. I don't recall if you have discussed problems with your 9-5 before. I had a 96 NG900 that SAAB took off my hands after I envoked my states lemon law (Connecticut at the time). Have had good luck with subsequeny 96 NG900 and my current 9-5SE. Any problems were taken care of in timely manner by SAAB Service of Orange, CT and SAAB of Vero Beach, FL. Had one problem related to damage done by none SAAB company installing hitch wiring repaired in very professional manner by Sewell SAAB in Dallas. On same trip fuel filter had reduced flow and Momentum SAAB in Houston, TX fixed this as well as other problems caused when restricted fuel flow caused back fire. Not all SAAB dealers are the same. I have not had any bad experiences because I shop where I know they have good service. Those I don't trust I stay away from. Perhaps you should envoke lemon law if you are in the States. You should have been provided a Consumer Protection Booklet that lists each state's requirements. Good luck and hopefully your SAAB experiences will be happier as mine have.
