The service you're getting is appalling. I would take the route of escalating it to the most senior person at the dealership with the threat of a letter to GM Canada (Unfortunately there is no SAAB Canada).
What part of the country are you? My experience with SSI here in Montreal has been good. The local dealer has one mechanic that does only SAAB and he's a French national that did only SAABS in France. He knows the product inside out and I often see older SAABS (9000) which indicate customers are willing to pay for his knowledge. I've said this before, if the dealer has good techs, dealing with SSI is cheaper than other premium brands which charge $90+ an hour. Also isn't it Saturn which prides itself on customer satisfaction? Your should be able to get tangible results by escalating at the dealer level.
