where we buy our oil by the Litre. One 4L jug of oil does mine just right.
Is your "one gallon" jug actually an imperial gallon rather than US gallon container by chance? Your conversion is right: 4L = 4.23Q, or 1Q=0.946L. So One gallon should equal 3.8L although IIRC an Imperial gallon is more like 4.5L
What is this "dipstick" you talk of? Sounds low-tech. My 9-5 has a light on the dash which tells me when I need more oil...
