The generally accepted preference to GM/SAAB/Volvo and some other exotic marques is as follows:
Drive the vehicle until the oil is HOT----20 to 30 minutes at temps above plus 10 Celcius or 50 degrees Ferenheit MINIMUM.....
Park the SAAB on a level surface.
Shut off the engine.
Wait 5 minutes.
If the oil level on the dipstick is between 1/2 and FULL----then everything is OK !!!
SAAB---Opel----Volvo---Mercedes--Bimmmer----all do it the SAME WAY !!!!
That;s how you know if your oil level is correct !!
