We test drove a Honda Accord EX the other day, because my husband will be replacing his '96 Acura 3.2TL soon (150K miles and still going strong). The new TL is coming out for '04, restyled, bigger engine, etc. but headroom may be an issue. The Accord EX is definitely a reasonable alternative in his case. We have driven the '03 TL, but not the TL-S. I would have to agree with most of the comments thus far, that the Saab is more fun to drive. But the Acura has the Japanese reputation for reliability. As much as I would love to be a two Saab family, I think that his garage bay is destined to have Acura #3 in it soon. It boils down to personal preference. The TL-S is less expensive than the Aero, but the gap will be smaller next year when the price of the TL goes up. The Acura is a great car for commuting, but when the weekend arrives, we always take my Aero! It is more versatile, more comfortable, and more fun!
Good Luck,
AeroLady
