First, CD changer, no you can't use any old CD changer, something weird about marrying it to the stereo and the wiring, maybe others can explain it better.
Running lights: At off, can't use fog lights or high beams, other wise same as on. Park light setting is the same as off except they may stay on when you take the key out, they did on my wife's 9-3. On is the same except that you can use fog lights and high beams. Recommend you have your dealer or somebody else with a Tech II programming device reset headlights to option 1 and fog lights to option 1. With the DRL (daytime running lights) fuse pulled (no. 35), this gives off for off, city lights in the park light position (fog lights will also work in this setting) and headlights in the on position. In addition it allows use of the fog lights along with the high beams in the on position. With the DRL fuse still in, you get city lights in the off position so you still have a form of DRL.
City lights are park lights with the addition of a low wattage bulb illumination the headlight housing.
Xenons are not easy, I'm not aware of anybody refitting the Saab setup due to the self leveling feature. Some have installed after market Xenons to the tune of $800 or more.
