The valet returned our 9-5 Gary Fisher Wagon with "...classy ride home for you all, nice car" I hit the unlock button on the center console to let everyone else in. Drove home and then everytime I took the key out of the ignition the alarm went off. I tried resetting it with the fob switch, turning the car back on and off and nothing worked. Figured I was off to the dealer on Monday. Then I drive home the babysitter and the high beams wont stay on. Damn what the hells going on here. Im thinking the valet has had a hot time at my expense. I checked the manual on the alarm problem upon returning home...nothing. Alarm still went off as soon as the key was out of the ignition. Then I notice the light switch was turned to off. Ahhh that fixed the highbeams. The highbeams will not stay on if the light switch is in the off position. I never move the light switch. The valet turned it off. Then I noticed the lock switch on the console. It had stuck in the unlock position from earlier in the evening. Once reset all was back to normal with the alarm. Wierd huh? Thought I would share the strange ocurrences in the hopes of saving someone the minor fret I went through. Hope I didnt wake too many of the neighbors with that alarm.
