Here's a non-Aero Monterey Rate for 2x 9-5's Posted by Ken [Email] (#2113) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ken) on Sun, 13 May 2001 20:10:23 In Reply to: Re: Insurance in CA for Aero., Marc, Sun, 13 May 2001 18:35:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 99 sedan and a 2001 wagon, both with the 2.3 lpt. They are each about $450/six months through USAA (total $900). That's with $250 comprehensive and $500 collision deductibles. USAA gives the 9-5 the following discounts: Anti-theft, DRL, passive restraint, and "vehicle injury rating". The last two discount the medical portion, and since that is $14 per car it doesn't add up to much. The only thing that factors into collisions (which is by far the highest portion) is the fact that it has DRL's and the discount for those is about $11/car. The good driver and multi-car discounts are by far the biggest ($200/car), but they have nothing to do with the fact that they are 9-5's.
Hope this helps. USAA only does military, active and retired, and their rates are usually among the best around. BTW, when I switched from a 96 900SE coupe to the 2001 wagon, the rate only went up $75/six months. Newer car offset by lower power and two more doors.
At least this gives you a floor to compare rates to,
Ken
