I was really reassured by the repair shop that they will deal with USAA. In fact, they said don't even bother sending the estimate -- they won't even begin to order parts until they see the car themselves. I'm really going to push for a new bumper cover. There are absolute ripples where the Jetta hit it (square in the middle of the bumper) and the upper portion of the bumper (grainy black panel that also contains the parking sensor) is cleary inverted from the brace underneath that was compromised in the hit. It moved and has put pressure on upper portion of the bumper. And the tailgate takes a good shove to close -- nothing bad, but the tailgate would securely shut without much effort before the accident. This is all fixable, but man, what a pain. Oh well, the Saab performed beautifully and this will be fixed with a little consternation on my part. And nobody was hurt.
Thanks again for the well wishes. It goes in on Nov. 3rd, so I'll keep you posted.
PS -- my Aero is a little dirty right now (over a nice new coat of wax) and the estimator referenced it as "greenish" on the repair order. It's steel grey. I think that's very telling.
