The only build quality difference in the plus category for the Audi are the dash materials, headliner and trunk linings. Look/Quality of the guages are subjective. The woodgrain in my allroad was also top notch. Thats siad the seats just sucked -- and I hated them and that mattered more to me than the dash materials.
Where build quality really matters is under the hood where I feel the Saab is superior. I had a ton of electrical and other problems with my allroad. In the same amount of time I had 0 issues with the aero. Many gremlins in that car and I wasn't alone. In some ways Audis are to fancy in that the little bells and whistles lead to problems.
Thats said what it really comes down a few nicer components -- As long as one costs less than the other or a I am trading crap like that for perfromance I am willing to do it.
