Not impossible, but depends on how you use your brakes. If they are applied hard and the rotor temperature keeps going up and down, then it can happen. My last 9000 Aero went 104,000 miles under my foot with no rotor warping and 4 mm pad life left on the orriginals. My wifes 900s needed new rotors within 25k miles, due to her driving style.
One other thing to keep in mind. The torque setting on the wheel nuts is important on alloy wheels, and should be set to 90 lb.ft. If the torque is not uniform around the bolt circle, you can also get rotor warping.
Rotors sould not be cut down. If they are warped, get new ones. The thing that keeps them fairly straight is their thermal mass, or ability to heat up and cool down repeatedly to the same shape. When you remove metal from them, they will be more prone to warping, and then you will need to spend for the labor to R&R them a second time.
