Do you want/need RWD or FWD? If it doesn't matter to you, then this doesn't help. The Saab's will go better in the snow/inclement weather no matter what those salesmen tell you. I had to push a lady in her 328i ('00) a few years ago up a hill...my 9-5 had no problems (w/out snow tires on it).
Size is obv. the next big thing. The 9-5 is the largest car that you looked at. It's comperable to the 5-series BMW, and GS300/GS400 Lexus. If you feel the IS300 is big enough (shouldn't be much larger than the Viggen and 3-series Bimmer), then go w/ it. If you need larger, go for the Aero. Unless you really want an auto (in the Aero) try and find one w/ a 5-speed. I think you'll thank yourself down the road for it (much more entertaining).
They're all good cars, really. Good luck.
