Bought a 9-5 with 32,000. After having it nickel and dime me (covered under warranty but who has the time to have the car replaced piece by piece?), I got rid of it at 36,000 (2 months). Same problems as I see here on the board. Also, looked at the engineering and thought no good. Any manufacturer that makes it as difficult as Saab to change an interior air filter has to have their head up the wrong place. Plus, what Saab provides under warranty is poor. For instance, they should have replaced every SID under warranty and continued to replace them for another 100,000 miles as a reputable company that sold a piece of garbage and will make it right. Sorry, it has a decent ride and could be a quality car but they need to start engineering it with some quality that does not leave people stranded as the Saab is very prone to do. It's not the worst car by any means but it is a long way from the best and if the service is no good then neither is the car and I can't take the effect of both being poor (or even one of them). Goodbye Saab, it is just not a quality car.
