One is seen by more people in one's car than in one's clothing.

One is 'known' by one's clothing. i.e. generally, unless you are in disguise, people can tell a lot about you by the way you present yourself.

If you present yourself in a Saab, then because the Saab is comparatively so rare, there are bound to be questions, either spoken or not, about your choice. You are perfectly able to justify your choice of a Saab if asked. But most people will not ask.

Therefore, you can remain somewhat mysterious and unique during the time Saab car remains little-known.

Then, when Saab's rather impressive record of awards and achievements continues to mount to the point it cannot be simply overlooked anymore, you will be in a position to inform more people, as they will become more inclined to ask or less uncomfortable about asking.
