was not real crazy about the soft suspension and SID's problems. I have owned 3 other Saabs (86 9000T, 88 9000T, 93 9000CSE THO). All cars had approx. 200K when sold and were very reliable excpet they all had new trannys installed around 100-150K (5spds and auto). I have also owned 5 Audi Quattro's over the years and feel they drive like no other car, which is a driving experience I truely missed (live in MN= lots of snow= quattro). Just sold the 99 9-5 a few months ago, and bought a certified 2002 A4 Avant 3.0 Sport. Fits me and my family a bit better than a 4 door sedan. I wish Saab would have made the 9-5 a hatch back like the 9000's. That would have set the car apart from the competition. I also question the fact that GM took over Saab...I just hope they don't start sticking their crappy engines in an otherwise pleasant car.
