9-5, skip the premium and xenons... There is an ad lease, so to speak, on the 9-3 Arc, but you have to remember that any 9-3 doesn't come standard with a sunroof or heated seats, so I imagine even a 9-3 Arc lease will be more than a 9-5.
9-5 Arcs do have 10 more horsepower, 220 vs 210, but it feels like more 'cause the torque, which is what you feel in normal driving because horsepower is in the 5,500-6,000 range which is not normal driving, anyway the 9-5 feels much stronger. And I believe the stopwatch confirms that. The 9-3SS 210 horse Arc and Aero motor is a rev happy and is somewhat flat at the same revs where the 9-5 motor is peaking it's torque, which ain't all bad, but I like the grunt of the old 9-5 motor.
Ditch the premium package and xenons so you can afford it and stick with the 9-5. The standard stereo in the 9-5 may have better tone than the 300watt 13 speaker 9-3 boom box, has a cassette for us throwbacks, and is a lot easier to use. Memory seats, are you too lazy to hold a button down? You gotta' do that either way, memory or not. The auto=dim/homelink mirror is now availible in the accessory catalog. Xenons schmenons, the halogens are fine.
