whining noise that can be heard inside the passenger cabin and it seems to originate from the engine bay. This is for a 2003 auto Aero. I too thought it was the fuel pump as I have one 9000 that had a whining fuel pump. I also thought it might have been the climate control fan but it wasn't.

Unfortunately, like you I cannot locate the noise. If I open the engine bay with engine running, other engine noises mask the lower level high pitch whine. The noise seems to have subsided for now.

Next time, when your are in the car, move or turn your head and see if that noise diminishes, I have found the noise is more prominent right at my driving position facing forward.
