I drove the S60.. it was far and away the WORST car in this category (it's really more in the 9-3 category) that I've test driven. I did the BMW 325i, Volvo S60, Audi A4 and Mercedes C240. The Volvo S60 was horrible and the only thing it did better than the other cars was it beat out the A4 in terms of acceleration, but at the cost of a terrible engine whine protesting all the way. A base 9-3 Linear has more power and performance than the S60. It was such a bad car that when I see them on the highway now, I know that driver only test drove ONE car before making a decision... It was that bad.
