I've had my '04 arc wagon for a week now. I've only been on the highway twice, but I'm impressed with how fast this car is. Not raw power but quick accleration and speed (and its not an aero). 220 hp on the 04 arc. I'm worried about getting into trouble with this car as I've looked at the speedometer and i'm doing 90 mph easily in 5th gear ( its a manual )----I know about the speed alarm btw---but was wondering what the top speed of this car is...have others pushed it ?...I'd like to but i have over 1,000 miles of breaking in to do.
Another question...I filled my first tank of gas today--(the car was deleivered with a full tank). I put in 93 octane---at $1.91 a gallon!!! I know that 93 AON is the recommendation. Do others follow this ? Is there a performance advantage that you've noticed ?
I gotta say...I've been reading this forum on and off for a couple years...even when I didn't own a car--and recently , more intensively as I was shopping---you guys are a great resource--and I want thank you all for your advice.
Jeff
