I purchased a 9-5 base automatic with 54000 miles for $13,000. I would say it is not in great shape; but definetely good. IMHO I believe you could find a saab through saabs certified program for $17,000. It may be more for a wagon. The certified will give you the piece of mind for the next few years. If I had my time back I may have chosen the saab certified. In any case I am happy with the purchase. My vehicle came off of a lease. I think the owner took it through a car wash daily. the black paint is somewhat chiped on the hood. Not bad enough to notice without looking for it. Again, Saab certified would not have taken this vehicle, and I have to pay for the things that go wrong. Having said all that you should be able to find lots of vehicles for less than 20,000.
