Hot weather unquestionably robs turbocharged engines of power, although I believe the difference is much more noticeable with HPTs than LPTs. I guess that since you've got the upgraded ECU, it's retarding timing and reducing boost in response to the less-dense air you're feeding the engine.
For the record I don't notice much performance dropoff with my LPT V6 in hot weather (it's already been over 100 here several times this year) as compared to my old APC HPT 9kT. That car would absolutely fly when the temps were below 50 and the air was humid.
Another possibility is that your Chi-town gasoline isn't reformulated adequately for hot weather. Maybe try higher-octane or another brand of gas to see if you can't get some of that power back.
Finally, your AC is running full tilt. Try turning that off before accelerating.
