You paid only $157? I've seen frequent references to the 60K service costing about $600 at the dealer - just paid that myself 2 weeks ago for a 99 2.3 LPT. Made the mistake of asking for a new thermostat as part of the service (based on advice taken from this board), and was charged 1 hour labor - $85 - to install the stat (bringing the bill to $700). But the dealer did the PVC upgrade without hassle. The expensive V6 60k service earlier in this post must have involved some serious repairs/replacements. While I have 1 year left of CPO service, I would find a $2K + bill after that to be worrisome. (And my wife, not being a true believer, would use harsher adjectives...) JT
