Ouch! 29K miles with 4-5K dino oil changes? Hmm...what do you mean by the turbo and engine being "shot"? Does it need a valve job, ring job, cylinder boring, or did it swallow a valve?
One note - you have only been putting an average of about 6k miles per year on the car. Changing the oil every 4-5K miles would mean that the dino oil is hanging around in your sump waaaay longer than 3 months. Could have been a contributor. Again - what is the problem with the engine?
