It's pretty easy to get the siren out of the car. Take off the front right wheel, unscrew the ~10 or so little screws that hold the inner fender on, then pull it out. From there all you have to do is pop off the connector pn the siren (on top of the washer tank)and unscrew 2 10 mm screws and it comes right out.
As far as I can tell the car runs fine w/o it. I've been doing so for a couple of days now.
