Well fellas,
Being a 2001 Z28 and 04 Aero sedan having fool, I can tell you yep. The Aero feels very stable at triple digits, but so does a Z28. I had that thing up to 145 on the stock Goodyear tires and that was SCARY. Then I switched to Bridgestone Potenzas and that car took on a whole new personality. It seemed a lot more stable at hiway speeds. Funny what a difference tires make. Having returned from 3000 miles of cross country driving in my Aero, i think I found my ultimate ccx mobile. I've driven ccx in the Z28 (from sea to shining sea at least once a year) and it's not a bad ccx mobile, it's steady and pulls like a freight train. 6th gear is awesome, motor barely ticking over at 80 mph. And somehow, the sit-down-on them barely wide enough for my back cheap looking seats do not tire me out after a full day of driving.
But I'm sure I could lose a z28 on the twisties, but from 60-95 the Aero could give a z28 a run for its money.
Leif
