We have little rodents called "martins" over here in Germany. Same concept, though. You go out to start your car one cold morning, and it's dead because they chewed through the wiring. Supposedly, they're attracted to the warm engine and then get bored and start destroying things! We actually have "anti-martin spray" over here to prevent it. Some people also try placing something with a very strong odor in the engine compartment, like a urinal cake or air freshener. Just be careful it doesn't melt in an important spot, or you may have the smell wafting through your cabin for weeks. Good luck!!!
