The fat part of the torque curve is definitely getting slim as the engine hits higher RPM. Part of the fun, though, is when the car upshifts. If you floor it at 60 mph, you get very good acceleration because (the 5 speed auto anyway) downshifts into third. It does get a little weak feeling as you hit about 80, but when it shifts into 4th at about 85, you get this big push in the backside, because it just dropped into the strong part of the torque curve. If you keep you foot in it until you are clear back in your lane after passing someone on a two lane highway, you will be doing over 100. I usually find I am off the gas completely about the time I am going by them. The car is great fun, but it is different from an Aero.
