With your problem and the cost involved it is important to understand the difference in your replacement engine. Salvage is pulled out of the junkyard and the cheapest. Rebuild is generally when installer rebuilds the engine and fixes what is wrong (new heads, gaskets, pistons and rings, ..). This can be expensive due to alot of labor hours. A remanufactured engine can be the best bet. It is remanufactured on an assembly line to specific specifications, usually warrantied, and the installer has much less labor hrs to rmove the old and slip in the reman.
